Austin Chitwood

My name is Austin Chitwood, Owner and Head Artist here at Black Antler Tattoo Co. I have 10 years of tattooing under my belt, specializing in Black and Grey Realism.

I began tattooing including my apprenticeship at Second Skin in Commerce, Georgia for my first 4 years, then to Mind's Eye Tattoo in Flowery Branch for another 4 years, to now owning my own shop.

I love to do Portraits, Micro-Tattoos, Black and Grey styles, and traditional, but I will take on anything. I have lived here in Madison County my entire life and to be able to open the FIRST AND ONLY tattoo shop here is a dream come true!

I tattoo by appointment only, with an average wait time of 2-3 months.

Francesca "Frankie" Waits

My name is Francesca Waits, and I completed my apprenticeship under Austin here at Black Antler Tattoo and have been tattoing for 3 years.

I was born and raised in Athens, Georgia, and I've been drawing since I can remember. I always had a knack for creating animals and fantastical creatures, doodling and sketching whenever I could, I got in trouble in school for drawing on other kids- little did I know it would eventually lead to a career.

After trying art school, multiple fascinating occupations and living on the west coast, I finally found something that interested me wholly: Tattooing.

Since meeting Austin in fall of 2020, I've thoroughly enjoyed the arduous and enlightening experience that tattooing has been thus far. I am especially interested in Traditional and Neotraditional Black and Grey work, but I'm trying to learn as much as I can in all styles. I look forward to the challenges Black Antler Tattoo Company will bring my way and for many years to come.
